| Card | Card Values in Baccarat | Strengths |
|---|---|---|
| Ace | 1 point | ● Medium |
| 2 to 9 | Face value (2=2, 3=3...) | ● High (8, 9) |
| 10, J, Q, K | 0 points (zero) | ● Low |
| Natural 9 | Best hand (9 points) | ● Highest |
| Natural 8 | Second-best hand | ● Very High |
| Count > 9 | Subtract 10 (e.g.: 15 = 5 points) | ● Depends on count |
| Third Card | Dealt if total is 0–5 | ● Follow the rules |
How Baccarat Points Are Calculated
Example: Cards dealt 7 + 8 = 15 → subtract 10 → value = 5 points. The highest possible value is 9. If either side (Banker or Player) is dealt 8 or 9 from the first two cards, it is called a "Natural" and the round ends immediately.
Experienced baccarat players always track the "road" to spot patterns. Here's a sample of a live scorecard from Brutal77.
The scoreboard is updated in real time during live gameplay on the Brutal77 platform. The patterns shown above are for illustrative purposes only.
No strategy guarantees a 100% win rate, but the right approach can help you play longer and smarter at Brutal77.
The Banker bet carries the lowest house edge in baccarat – just 1.06%. Even with the 5% commission on winnings, it remains statistically the best choice for most sessions. This is the foundation of baccarat strategy that every expert agrees on.
Before sitting down at a Brutal77 baccarat table, set two numbers: a win limit (e.g. +RM300) and a loss limit (e.g. -RM200). When either limit is hit, stop playing. This discipline matters more than any card strategy.
In baccarat, when one side (Banker or Player) goes on a winning streak, many experienced players will ride that trend until it breaks. It's not a scientific strategy, but it helps players stay consistent and avoid making purely emotional bets.
The Tie bet offers a tempting 1:8 payout, but a house edge of 14.4% makes it a very poor choice mathematically. While a Tie does occur occasionally, over the long run betting on Tie will drain your bankroll far faster than Banker or Player.
Long baccarat sessions tend to affect focus and discipline. Players who go beyond 60–90 minutes often start making more emotional and less rational decisions. Take a short break, review your bankroll, and decide whether it makes sense to continue.
Brutal77's welcome bonus and weekly cashback can extend your playing sessions without adding extra risk to your personal bankroll. Make sure you understand the wagering requirements (rollover) for each bonus before using it at the baccarat table to get the most out of it.
Baccarat is one of the easiest casino games to learn. Within 5 minutes, you can sit down at a Brutal77 live table with complete confidence. Just follow these simple steps.
Log in to Brutal77 and head to the Live Casino section. Choose from Classic Baccarat, VIP, Speed, or Multi-Table based on your experience level and budget.
Before the cards are dealt, place your bet in MYR on one of the three main sections. You can also place a side bet on "Pair". The minimum bet at Brutal77 starts at RM20.
The Brutal77 live dealer deals two cards each to Banker and Player. Values are calculated by dropping the tens digit from any total exceeding 9. A Natural 8 or 9 ends the round immediately.
Under baccarat rules, a third card may be dealt to the Banker or Player depending on their hand total. This happens automatically according to fixed rules — you do not need to make this decision yourself.
The hand closest to 9 wins. Your winnings are credited instantly to your Brutal77 account balance and can be withdrawn via TNG eWallet, DuitNow, or local banks in just minutes.
Make your first deposit into brutal77's Live Casino section and enjoy an exclusive bonus of up to RM800. Deposit via Touch 'n Go eWallet, DuitNow, GrabPay, or Boost – processed in just a matter of seconds.

Ask any seasoned casino player in Malaysia which game they enjoy most, and baccarat will almost always top the list. There's something about baccarat that sets it apart — the rules are simple, yet the strategy runs deep. Brutal77 understands the appeal of baccarat to Malaysian players, which is why we have invested heavily in building the best live dealer baccarat platform for the local market.
Baccarat is believed to have originated in Italy in the 15th century before becoming hugely popular among French nobility. From Europe, it spread to Macau and Asia, where it truly exploded in popularity. Today, over 90% of Macau's casino gaming revenue comes from baccarat – and Malaysia is no exception, with many local players making baccarat their go-to casino game.
With the rise of online platforms like Brutal77, baccarat has been growing steadily in popularity across Malaysia. Players who once had to take a trip up to Genting Highlands or fly to Macau can now enjoy the full baccarat experience from the comfort of home or anywhere using their smartphone. A live dealer on screen, a neatly laid-out green table, and the sound of cards being shuffled – all of it delivered in HD quality on the Brutal77 platform.
One thing that sets baccarat apart from most other casino games is that players don't need to make many decisions once the game is underway. There's really only one key decision to make: bet on Banker, Player, or Tie. After that, everything else plays out according to fixed rules – whether a third card is drawn is determined by the rules, not the player's choice.
The objective is straightforward: predict which side will have a hand value closest to 9. Card values are counted as follows – numbered cards (2–9) carry their face value, Aces are worth 1, and 10, Jack, Queen, and King are all worth 0. When the total exceeds 9, the tens digit is dropped. So if you're dealt a 7 and an 8 (totalling 15), your hand value is 5. This is what makes baccarat so compelling – no hand is ever truly "dead" since values always cycle between 0 and 9.
What sets live baccarat at Brutal77 apart from an ordinary computer game is the presence of a real human dealer. You can watch the dealer shuffle the cards, deal them, and announce the results live via HD video stream. This is not animation – it's a real baccarat game taking place in a professional casino studio, and you're joining in from Malaysia.
Baccarat tables Brutal77 operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year – no holidays, no closing time. Whether it's midnight or the early hours of the morning, there's always a baccarat table waiting for you. For players who work during the day and only have time to play at night or on weekends, this is a major advantage you simply can't get at a physical casino.
Brutal77 offers two main baccarat formats that differ in game pace. Classic Baccarat follows the traditional format where each round takes around 40–50 seconds, giving players plenty of time to think and place their bets comfortably. Speed Baccarat cuts each round down to just 27 seconds – meaning more rounds in the same amount of time, and more opportunities to win (or lose) within a shorter period.
For new players, Classic Baccarat is the smarter starting point – you have more time to get comfortable with the interface, read the scoreboards, and make decisions without time pressure. Speed Baccarat is better suited to players who are already familiar with the game and want more action in less time.
One of the biggest advantages of playing baccarat at Brutal77 compared to a physical casino is the convenience and speed of financial transactions. To make a deposit, you can use Touch 'n Go eWallet, GrabPay, Boost, ShopeePay, DuitNow, FPX, Maybank2u, or CIMB Clicks. All these methods are familiar and easy to use for Malaysian players, and deposits are processed within seconds.
For withdrawals, Brutal77 processes requests within 3 to 5 minutes for standard amounts. This means that when you win at the baccarat table, your winnings won't be kept waiting — they can be in your TNG eWallet or DuitNow in no time at all. There are no withdrawal fees for regular members, and Brutal77 VIP members enjoy priority withdrawal processing that's even faster.
Like all forms of gambling, baccarat should be played for entertainment and not as a source of income. Brutal77 is committed to Responsible Gaming principles and provides a range of tools to help players manage their experience. You can set daily, weekly, or monthly deposit limits directly from your account. You can also request a temporary break from playing whenever you feel you need one.
